At first glance, I was skeptical. They sure do look funky, what’s with all that plastic? However, after using them only a handful of times, I am a believer. These things are awesome! I can’t really recommend them for a spot like Indian Creek, but at an area like Eldo they truly shine. When you are relying on small gear placements, plug one of these in and you can keep climbing with confidence. The head is very narrow, allowing for placements where other cams won’t even come close to fitting. The design is solid and well crafted, like much of what Black Diamond makes. These are a worthy addition to any rack. We haven’t aided with them yet, but I imagine we’ll like what we find.
