Looks like things down south are as good as they have been in years. I’ve been following the San Juan Mountain Guides blog, they’ve been posting great photos of all the action down that way. Sounds like there are many climbs that are in that have southern exposures and usually don’t stick around very long. Since we’re having a such a cold and snowy winter, it’s been perfect conditions for these kinds of routes to stay in good shape longer than usual. Not sure if we’ll be able to make it this year, but looks like it’s as good a time as any to go pay a visit to Ouray. With hot springs and more ice climbing than you can shake a tool at, what’s not to like?
