Around these parts, word has it the Pencil is IN! This climb hasn’t come in for at least ten years or so as far as anyone knows that I’ve spoken to. With the warm days, it’s probably gonna disappear faster than coke at a party in Aspen, so if you are gunning for it, better get on it! And with that, it’s official. This will go down as one of the best ice seasons in Redstone in a long, long time!

The Pencil is badly fractured, with a horizontal crack all the way through, right below where it connects to the rock. It’s running like a faucet, too, and the snow slopes around have been avalanching badly.
