Well, it’s been warm lately, but pretty darn cold at night for a couple weeks now, so I thought I’d drive up to Redstone and see how the ice was looking, or if there was any at all. The usual early season suspects had some ice on them, but generally it appeared to be wet and not well bonded. Still, given how warm it is during the day, it’s encouraging to see there is already some ice on some of these routes. If we get a cold snap, be sure to check out Tomato Chimney (or whatever the hell it’s called), the Coal Creek Cruiser, and Single Parenting. Everything else is gonna need a lot more snow and/or cold temps. Also, in Glenwood Canyon, Hidden Falls has quite a bit of ice on it, but it’s hard to tell from the road if the whole route is in yet.
