Wow, the last two weeks have been a blur! To kick things off, I was part of a four day trip to Twin Lakes where we fished, climbed and rafted the Arkansas. I then spent 4 hours back in Bonedale before heading north for Idaho. What we hoped would be a mostly climbing trip turned into a mostly-getting-stuff-done-in-Boise trip. We did head out to City of Rocks Wednesday night, and got two excellent days in before the weather turned to crap. Saturday we took advantage of a late afternoon clearing and snuck in a few pitches on Elephant Rock. Sunday morning we woke to sunshine that was quickly replaced by a wall of dark clouds that looked like the end of the world, so we hit the road.
It’s good to be back and I promise more frequent updates, including reviews of the Black Diamond Aura, Petzl Fuse Rope and others. I’ve also got several new routes in the works, so if you’re local stay tuned for some more fun new climbing!
