Sure looks like a fun weekend out there in climbing-landia!
First off, you have the premier of the Idaho Mountain Festival at City of Rocks. Trail running, mountain biking, slack lining, shoe demos, clinics, climbing, what more could you ask for? We wish we could be at this one but other commitments are keeping us local. Next up, it’s National Public Lands Day, and the Friends of Indian Creek have organized a day to give back to the area with trail projects and the like. There’s also a slideshow, raffle and BBQ afterwards brought to you by the AAC. More info on their Facebook page.
Lastly, it’s also the Rifle Rendez-Spew clean up day. There will be rebolting galore, along with other projects to help maintain our favorite sport wanking spot. A party with food and beer will follow the day’s events at the Community House, and there’s free camping in the group site. More info on the Rifle Climber’s site.
