The 2008 Ouray Ice Festival is this coming weekend, the 9th through 13th. As always, I’m sure this event will be a blast. If you are going for the first time, expect to be climbing very close to other folks, with lots of flying ice and maybe some flying tools thrown in for good measure. Sometimes you can escape to the Skylight or other areas, but the big theme of this weekend is social interaction and parties.

On the local front, had an adventurous outing on the Redstone Slabs, including a 30 footer and getting hit with a wet slide. More details to come.
