The Future Of Sport Crag Development

And I thought a crowbar was a little industrial at times. Check out this awesome video (posted on Mountainproject.com a few days ago) showing a helicopter using a wrecking ball to clean a gigantic loose block off a cliff in Norway that threatens the road below. And then they even wash off all the debris! Think of all the potential choss piles out there that are too dangerous to rappel into, but you just know could be great crags with a little work. Hop in your chopper, knock some blocks down, wash it all off with some water, and presto, you’re crag is a blank slate waiting for new routes!

  2. I think a sandblaster or cornblaster would be handy up there. Less costly than a chopper for sure, maybe the gadget master Lou has one in his garage.
