I came across The Gear Junkie the other day, a blog run by Stephen Regenold, a nationally syndicated columnist who created the site to go along with the writing he does for the newspapers. The focus of the site is on outdoor gear reviews and the trips he takes as an adventure journalist. In the gear review archive, there is a wealth of information on products ranging from mountain bikes to scuba gear. If you have any gear related purchases coming up, be sure to swing and by and see if he has anything to say about it.
He’s also got some crazy adventures on there, looks like this guy gets after it, so I imagine a positive gear review from him actually means something, unlike what you find in most mags these days. (Outside, cough, cough) The Daily Dose blog is updated every day, I’m adding this one to my feed reader for sure.
